Add Sharing to Facebook from Google – updated

Google takes the high low road (updated)

Google has decided to take the high low road and no longer offer to share outside its social network Google+ via plugins installed on its Chrome browser. Google+ now no longer allows you to share posts to FacebookTwitterPinterest and Googles own Blogger, as well as others (see below). This is was a huge step in the right direction for the number two social network and gives gave them another leg up on their main competition. (too bad they disabled all Chrome app extensions which allowed the ability to share to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and many others directly from your Google+ posts. What a lame bunch of duck Google+ managers.)

This used to work, now it doesn’t.

No Longer Works, thanks Google..!

Below are the images I pulled at the time I wrote the original post, so you can see by his profile and blog, he was working for the Bing Social team (what was he doing writing apps for Chrome and Google+ then?)

So if you’re a devoted or casual Google+ user, but all your friends and family still lingering around on Facebook, you would have been able to share all your post activity and cool findings from G+ to a whole host of social sites. This is provided of course that you have Google Chrome installed on your machine and the Extended Share plugin installed.

There is a way to share to Facebook and other sites from your Google+, it just requires installing a Share Extension on your Chrome browser and clicking this after navigating to a Google+ post article. It requires a few hoops to jump through but is totally possible.
